We all know the familiar tale of George Bailey who was in trouble and an angel was sent from heaven to help him out. My favorite line from the movie is where he says, “A man is no failure who has friends.”
Well, when I lost a job many of my friends encouraged me to pursue my dream and thus the birth of this webpage began. This article goes out to all the ones I love and to the ones who love me back.
First and foremost it is dedicated to my sister Loray who passed away last year. Loray always believed in me and when I was down on my career path she said to me, you just haven’t found your passion yet. Well Loray I found it!
It is my desire to coach individuals past self-limiting beliefs or a crisis in the economy to discover that their truly is no ceiling on what is possible if only we believe.
It is secondly dedicated to my friend Wendy who when I first lost my job gave me a huge push by telling me to start the business I had been talking about for 2 years and stop coaching everyone around me for free.
It is also dedicated to Matt who told me when I recently turned 47 that life isn’t measured as we would think in number quantity but by the quality of how we impact those individuals in our lives around us.
I would also like to dedicate this to my brother Jim who told me through endless conversations about the job I hated. “Never waste a crisis, inside every crisis is an opportunity” I was in a true crisis in my life and his words gave me hope to pull me forward.
It is also dedicated to my sister Diane who when she heard my first radio interview said, ” You were born to do this!” Diane your words were like music to my soul resonating and validating my true talents in life!
Also to my brother Greg who when I got let go from a job told me it is now time to make an appointment with yourself life coach and coach yourself. Which is exactly how I began this business by asking myself what is the next thing I can do today to move myself forward, the premise of life coaching. Thanks Greg for reminding me of who I am!!
Cara who also told me to “Make it Happen.” You never know the impact your words of encouragement has had on helping someone make a change in their life!
This website is also dedicated to the talented designer John who created it. Thanks John for making this possible for me to launch a whole new business career.
I truly feel blessed in this current economy, like George Bailey, when he says, “A man is no failure who has friends!”
Marianne,
Thanks! You’re doing great and it’s awesome to see your new articles come in…even if I don’t always get to them right away =)
John
Marianne I am glad you are following your passion. I enjoyed reading this entry regarding friends. My favorite line from the movie is “Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings.” You have now opened your wings and I know your flight will be one where you soar high with great success…Diane.
Gratefulness is perhaps the most valuable character trait anyone could possess. It is good to see it shining through every word in this article.
It is obvious you are no failure.
Glad you are pursing your dreams and helping others to do the same! Dawn.
