Welcome!
Hi, I'm Marianne! I'm glad you've stopped by. Every week I am writing an article about how to be more powerful in all of your life! Please read the articles and give me your feedback!
A little bit about me:
I am a registered corporate coach or business coach, with a strong life coaching bent. I love to empower others to make changes and move forward in areas of their life where they are stuck or need to see growth! Many people don't understand just how important it is to be properly coached, but I think my clients would tell you otherwise, like Ken from Chicago:"As a coach, Marianne has the ability to motivate her clients to create a fulfilling life for themselves. She assisted me in organizing every area of my life, including techniques allowing me to keep my focus on creating a powerful future rather than dwelling on a mediocre past."
Is what you are doing currently working for you?
Why not try working with a business coach? After all, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting to get different results.

Marianne,
Great article! It has been great working with you! Your energy has been an inspiration and I can’t wait to see what successes the future will bring for you and your clients.
Marianne,
I really enjoyed the article. Sometimes we can lose perspective and its always good to be reminded that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I like what you said about playing different cards on the next hand, very cool!
Hey Marianne,
Nice interview! Your passion for the work and your vision came through nicely, and it’s good to have an interviewer who shares that vision. I hope you get some calls from this!
We are so proud of you. You are stepping out and making a difference in people’s lives. Great web page!!!
Marianne learned a number of amazing things from her experiences. These 6 simple principles WILL push anyone forward in the game of life. Her last comment is something we can all learn, the point being to be teachable and coachable and youre one step on the road to success.
I love this site! It’s really down to earth and inspiring.
Interesting information about coaching. She sounds like she’d be an excellent motivational speaker, too.
The examples of your teaching are so true–I didn’t know how much they applied to sales. Thanks for sharing about the keys down the toilet. I guess we all need to laugh at ourselves.
Great idea! Much needed. Anything is possible.
Marianne,
Thanks! You’re doing great and it’s awesome to see your new articles come in…even if I don’t always get to them right away =)
John
Marianne I am glad you are following your passion. I enjoyed reading this entry regarding friends. My favorite line from the movie is “Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings.” You have now opened your wings and I know your flight will be one where you soar high with great success…Diane.
I had to lay off some staff many years ago. One man reacted as expected with a lot of anger. It is the worst job in the world to tell someone they no longer have a job. It’s even worse for them to hear it. He wrote me a letter 5 years later and thanked me for laying him off. It got him out of a rut and he found the right niche for him. It is an amazing letter that I still pull out every once in a while…Diane.
Marianne, I totally agree with this article on volunteering. Volunteering is engerizing and very rewarding!
What does “take inventory, make notes, get past it quickly” mean.
I love the article and agree with it in principle, but am not sure I ever really get over failure and hurts. I forgive, I try my best next time, but a chunk of my soul has still been ripped out. Maybe you could expound on this for me at some point.
Keep up the good work,
Rob
Marianne,
You are so right. I think I need to see this movie. Getting fired or laid off or just losing a job is never pleasant. Most people I know draw their identity by “what they do” not who they are. That is a whole other topic.
Rob
Gratefulness is perhaps the most valuable character trait anyone could possess. It is good to see it shining through every word in this article.
It is obvious you are no failure.
Glad you are pursing your dreams and helping others to do the same! Dawn.
Rob,
Great question!! To take inventory I mean for example, when a department store spends days and days going over every single item and its cost and worth because they can’t afford to lose a dollar here or 30 cents there. Its like that with us when we fail, we can’t afford to miss something that was our fault, our character, our part. Otherwise we have a huge blind spot that will lead us to repeat the same horrible mistakes over and over and over again like in the movie Groundhog Day. So we have to take stock of our failures by evaluating what was our part, what is our character flaw. For example, people might make rude comments to me and I might react. Well they were rude, right. But perhaps I am overly sensitive and don’t realize it. So I can work on not letting people’s comments get to me. I can even get to the point where I welcome them and even laugh at rude people instead of internalizing it. To get past it quickly I mean some people can spend a lifetime beating themselves up over a failure. This leads nowhere. It is better to say I did this wrong and I will improve in this way and I am moving forward with my life! Hope this helps!

No fear. I can attest that shutting down and quitting on life is failure (been there and done that). Risking rejection and failure is like reaching out toward the hot stove after you have been burned. But without the heat, you can never bake the cookies. I like cookies.
Dear Marianne,
Thank you for the coat example.
I will give it a try on one of the changes I want, and let you know how it goes in a couple of weeks.
Enjoy the week-end and the blessings of God.
Rob
I love the coat analogy. The older we get, the more difficult it is to literally and figuratively “put on a new coat”. Thanks for the encouragement.
It is so true. Other people can see our blind side. Thats why we need others to help us.
Andrea,
I’d love to give you the blocks list so you can evaluate your own blind side. Want to try it?
Good analogy on veggies! Good advice for eating more of them! We get focused on doing things only one way.
I’m taking this article to heart! This is exactly what I need, an alternate, fresh perspective. Thanks so much.
This is so true. There are most definitely all kinds of different ways to get your veggies in…..however, zucchini chocolate cake? lol Now you’re adding chocolate and sugar! lol But I get the idea. Approaching things from a different angle or considering a different perspective can be just what the doctor ordered. We also should remember that so often the “yucky” things/the hard things (veggies) in life really show us what we’re made of, so we shouldn’t be scared of them. All things can work together for good. Great perspective Marianne.
Well I wish I had an interview go to today after reading this article! lol I feel inspired and I definitely see areas where I can apply this to my life. Great info!
Very good points! It’s almost as if you wrote this with me in mind. I completely relate and it’s just what I needed to hear this morning. Thank you ma’am.
This is a great article Marianne. It’s also challenging. Thanks for the motivation to strive to be the best!
I like the idea of feeling your calendar with social events a month in advance. I do like to pray to get through the winter blues. Thanks for thinking of me, Marieanne.
I enjoyed this article. Sometimes, we are our own worst enemy!
this was good too, Marieanne. i will have to print it off and high light some thoughts. like getting a coaching tape. The balance of spritual, physical, and emotional…if out of balance leads to depressions. Thanks for the articles.
Good tips.
Good job as always Marianne!
